Chiropractic Myths vs. Facts

As successful as chiropractic has become, there are a lot of myths circulating among the general public. Times have definitely changed for the better, but the fact is that many people still do not understand what chiropractors do. Let's talk about a few of the more common myths about chiropractic.

Myth #1 - Chiropractors are not real doctors.

Myth #2 - Medical doctors don't like chiropractors.

Myth #3 - Once you start going to a chiropractor, you have to keep going for the rest of your life.

Let's check the facts now:

FACT #1: Chiropractors are real doctors, they have more hours in clinical settings then medical doctors when they graduate.

FACT #2: There has been a stigma that these two doctors don't get along, but that is the opposite. Medical doctors and chiropractors are able to work together to help get you out of pain as soon as possible and to help prevent any costly surgeries. Chiropractors just take a more holistic approach.

FACT #3: Although we would love to see each of our patients as much as possible, sometimes there is not a need to come back 3 times a week. Dr. Gallentine has each patient on a treatment plan that is to help that patient get back to their health as soon as possible.
