Suffering from Tension Headaches?
What are Tension Headaches?
Tension headaches are pain or discomfort in the head, scalp, or neck, usually associated with muscle tightness in these areas. Tension headaches are the most common forms of headaches and can
occur to any age group from children, adults, as well as senior citizens. If the pain occurs two or more times a week for several weeks to months, you could be experiencing chronic
headaches.
Tension headaches occur when neck and scalp muscles become tense, or contract. The muscle contractions can be a response to stress, depression, a head injury, and anxiety. Some activites that
can cause a headache to form are having your head in one position for a long period of time, loud noises, glare, computer work, work with hands, sleeping in a cold room, or sleeping in an
abnormal position. Other causes of these headaches could be from alcohol, withdrawal of caffeine, colds, eye strain, or dental problems. Many individuals suffer from tension headaches
and ignore the pain or take medication such as pain killers to mask the pain. If you suffer from Tension headaches, don't live with the pain any longer, give us a call today at
